Pay What You Can

A total experiment! Each month I’ll make a handful of one-of-a-kind quilted hats with the goal of stretching my creative muscles and building each quilted block as I go — no preplanned designs. They will only be available for the current month or until they sell out. This one is super special, featuring linen I naturally dyed using Osage wood, madder, cochineal, and logwood.

I’d like to offer these hats to you using a “pay what you can” model — My typical price for these hats would be $90, but please feel free to pay less if it allows you to buy the perfect piece for yourself, or choose to offer more if you’re able and know your generosity will help my business grow and keep this experiment going!

These soft-brimmed five panel hats are, of course, handmade from start to finish with meticulous care, and made to be lived in. The backstrap is also constructed by hand and features a solid brass slide, striking a balance of beauty and utility.

This standard sized hat will fit most adults and older kids. The hat circumference ranges from about 19.5 to 23 inches with its adjustable strap

Made from durable 100% cotton duck cloth, with a quilted linen front panel and linen brim, and a 100% cotton twill tape sweat band. The back strap features a solid brass slide.
